Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. She hosts SportsNation and serves as a SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a television reporter. Antonietta Collins is a bilingual since she was nine years old a useful skill that helped her secure her first position working as an assistant to the producer with Univision in Miami and provided her with the opportunity to collaborate with producers of national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. It was the CBS subsidiary of St. Petersburg hired her after this as the sports reporter. In 2009 she moved into Rio Grande Valley, Texas for work as an investigative reporter for KNVO TV 48 Univision. Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. Reports on her show covered immigration issues drugs, immigration, as well as other issues on both the Texas and Mexico border. In the course of a few months, her father divorced from her mother and she later remarried in the year 1995 to a naval architect called Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died of kidney cancer in the year 2006. In the course of a family holiday in Ohio, the younger Collins had taken a position alongside her elder sister. Antonietta was a senior in high school and was clear about the career she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union would be a good fit for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the school. It was a beautiful campus and provided the education she wanted. Her high school graduation was in the spring of 2004 and was enrolled in media studies at the University. Mark Bergmann was her professor and the manager of WRMU, of which she's a member. They formed a strong connection. The passion he had for journalism as well as confidence in herself instilled confidence in her. She, in turn attempted to live up to the standards he set and to not fail him.
